Our Beginnings
PODS, known initially as Portable on Demand Storage, changed the moving and storage industry in 1998. We pioneered the concept of portable storage containers, allowing our customers to conveniently store and access their belongings right in their driveways. We also introduced the world to PODZILLA®, our revolutionary hydraulic system, which enables our certified drivers to maneuver containers on and off our trucks while keeping customers’ belongings level.
PODS was founded in the Tampa Bay, Florida area and has since expanded to 46 states. We are committed to providing our customers with the best possible moving and storage experience. We are proud to be a leader in the industry with 25+ years of experience, 7+ million moves, and 40+ awards in 2025.

Jim Gimeson: President and Chief Executive Officer
Jim Gimeson is a results-oriented leader with experience across consumer and business-to-business service organizations. Before joining PODS, he served as Chief Executive Officer of WASH Multifamily Laundry Systems, a multinational company operating across the U.S. and Canada. Prior to that, he was Chief Operating Officer of Sears Home Services, the nation’s largest provider of appliance repair, HVAC, and home improvement services. Earlier in his career, Gimeson held senior leadership roles at Scotts LawnService, where he helped guide the company through its merger with TruGreen and later served as Chief Operating Officer of the combined $1.3 billion TruGreen organization.
Jordon Jones: Chief Financial Officer
Jordon Jones has nearly two decades of financial leadership experience across multiple industries. He joined PODS as Vice President of Global Financial Planning & Analysis, overseeing financial analysis, reporting, tax, and accounts receivable across the company’s business units. Jordan previously served as Chief Financial Officer of YouFit Gyms, a fitness chain with 80 locations across 10 states. He also held leadership roles at Hertz, where he directed sales strategy and managed corporate development, strategic planning, budgeting, and cash flow.
Susan Jacobs: Chief Revenue Officer
Susan Jacobs is an accomplished marketing and revenue management leader with proven experience in driving brand growth, enhancing customer experience, and improving revenue performance. Before PODS, she served as Senior Vice President of Marketing for a late-stage insurance technology startup, where she built and scaled the marketing department to drive brand awareness and loyalty. Susan also held senior leadership roles at Hertz, where she served as global brand leader for more than $3 billion in revenue across the U.S. and UK.

Prior to joining PODS, he served as Chief Information Officer at Estes Express Lines, where he led large-scale transformations across people, processes, and technology. Earlier in his career, Bob held IT leadership roles at Performance Food Group and VMS, Inc., as well as various consulting and sales positions focused on technology solutions and modernization initiatives.
Laureen Druker: Chief Human Resources Officer
Laureen Druker has more than 36 years of human resources experience across professional services and corporate environments. She joined PODS as a Senior HR Business Partner and advanced through several leadership roles, including Director and Vice President of HR Operations, where she oversaw HR operations and talent acquisition. Prior to PODS, Laureen held senior HR roles at McKinsey, where she built deep expertise in talent management, organizational effectiveness, and HR operations.

Prior to joining PODS, he served as Senior Vice President of Operations and Senior Vice President, Chief Quality and Customer Officer at Hertz, leading global teams responsible for operational performance and customer experience. Earlier in his career, Sal held regional executive leadership roles at Concentrix, overseeing operations across North America and Latin America.
