With the planning for the 15th annual May 1st, 2011 New Jersey Marathon Festival moving ahead, the NJM Festival Organization Committee is glad to have PODS-Jersey Shore again onboard as the “Official Storage” partner. “With PODS-Jersey Shore located at the Start/Finish and along the course at every Fluid Station, we are better able to meet the needs of the expected 10,000 participants for our May 1st marathon, half marathon and half marathon relay”, says Race Director, Art Castellano.
Changes for May 1, 2011 are a 1-loop course for the full marathon while keeping the Start/Finish in Long Branch, our “Host City”. An earlier 8:00AM start for the full marathon followed by an 8:30AM start for the half and relay . This will allow for a smoother start and cleaner finish for the expected record registration.
Heavily involved with many local charities, an estimated $2 million was raised by the official charities in 2010 with a goal of topping $3 million in 2011.
