PODS Enterprises, Inc. moving and storage company supports Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio Race for the Cure®

(Cleveland, Ohio) - The 17th annual Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio Race for the Cure®, locally presented by University Hospitals Ireland Cancer Center and Giant Eagle, will take place on September 11, 2010 in Cleveland. The Race for the Cure includes a 5K Race/Walk and a 1-Mile Fun Walk.

The Wolstein Center is the new home to the Komen Northeast Ohio Race and provides a great starting point for a scenic race course. Komen Northeast Ohio brings together members of its 22 county service area on Race day with a single goal: to make an impact in the fight against breast cancer.

The Race for the Cure® is Komen’s primary local fundraiser. The annual race draws over 20,000 participants, including 2,000 breast cancer survivors, to raise funds to find a cure for breast cancer. Komen Northeast Ohio hopes to raise half of the expected $1.7 million goal through the fundraising efforts of individuals. Read More

 

Taste of Little Italy

The 13th annual “A Taste of Little Italy” benefit is Sunday, September 19, 2010 from 3 – 7 pm at the Holy Rosary Churchyard in Little Italy, located at 12009 Mayfield Road. Tickets are $70 per person in advance and $75 at the door. Groups of ten tickets are $650, a savings of $5 per ticket; sponsorship opportunities including complimentary tickets are also available. Tickets are sold at Little Italy Wines, by calling the school at 216-421-0700 or on-line at www.montessori-holyrosary.org. Proceeds from the Taste support school scholarships and capital improvement projects. Last year’s “A Taste of Little Italy” raised over $57,000 in school scholarship funds. Read More
