Home Run for Buckhead Baseball & PODS
The first event of the initiative, an equipment donation drive, is being held
January 21 and 28th during tryouts, at Buckhead Baseball, 445 Pharr Rd NE,
Atlanta, GA, 30305. One of the most pressing challenges of certain inner city
leagues is the shortage of player equipment including bats, gloves and helmets.
Players and parents of Buckhead Baseball are being asked to make donations
of new or lightly-used equipment, which will be collected and transported to
the Braves Baseball Academy in South Atlanta. Read

PODS Supports Miles for Smiles 5K Run

One of the best ways to put smiles on many peoples’ faces, is to participate in the Miles for Smiles 9th Annual event taking place on Saturday, March 24,2012, at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, starting at 8 am. Miles for Smiles is a 5K Run, 1K Fun Run and Tot Trot held each spring to benefit the Trinity Early Learning Center (TELC). This family-friendly event draws more than 400 runners from northwest Atlanta and TELC families. As TELC's largest fund-raiser, Miles for Smiles allows TELC to offer tuition assistance and scholarships to families in need while providing them with an excellent educational program in a nurturing environment. Storage for Atlanta Beer Festival

The Great Atlanta Beer Fest at Turner Field was held on Saturday October 8, 2011. Over 2,500 people came out to enjoy the perfect weather, great craft beers, live music including the Braves marching band, college football on the huge TV, and tasty ballpark food. Turner Field provided a wonderful setting for the event, and the PODS® storage container was a huge help providing temporary storage for beer fest supplies. Read More
Christmas Tree Fundraiser Supports Students

PODS, a leader in the moving and storage industry, is providing a PODS® storage container to support Segue Ministries’ Christmas Tree Fundraiser.
Segue Ministries has been putting on a Christmas Tree Fundraiser to help support their various programs for middle and high school students. They will sell beautiful Fraser Fir Christmas trees from a lot located at 4537 Chamblee Dunwoody Road. In its first year as a fully independent non-profit, Segue expects this year’s Christmas Tree Fundraiser to help fill gaps in their financial budget, as well as spread awareness about the various programs that Segue offers to local schools. The tree lot also provides a great opportunity for students in the community to give back, by working at the tree lot to gain work hours for school service clubs.

Gobblers & PODS Are Ready for Turkey Trot
More than 250 Gobblers will gather Monday, Nov. 21, for the 20thAnniversary of the Turkey Trot Invitational at The Golf Club of Georgia. “Twenty-years ago, eight friends got together to play golf and decided put up $50 each to buy Thanksgiving Dinner for two needy families,” said Clisby Clarke, one of the event’s founders and current Chairman of HBN. “That original gesture has grown to become a major fund-raiser for the ACVB’s Arts Council and the Atlanta Community Food Bank.” Read More
Project Restore & PODS Team Up 
Earlier this year, in an effort to stabilize many of their neighborhoods, the City of McDonough did two things. First, they signed on as partners in the “Piece by Piece” initiative - a regional approach to stabilizing the destabilizing effects of foreclosure. And second, they aggressively sought to remedy code violations which were contributing to the decline of the neighborhoods. Decatur Book Festival & PODS
The largest independent book festival in the nation – The Decatur Book Festival – takes place over the Labor Day weekend in Decatur, Georgia, for the 6th year in a row. The Global Soap Project
Saving Lives and Improving Health with an Innovative Recycling Idea: The Global Soap Project & PODS. Derreck Kayongo, a former refugee from Uganda, became keenly aware through personal experience, that soap could reduce an exorbitant number of preventable deaths and illnesses. In 2009, he founded an organization, Global Soap Project (GSP), whose mission is to improve global health and save lives by providing recycled soap to vulnerable populations. Read More

Relay for Life & PODS Team Up!
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a fun-filled, life-changing, overnight event that gives the community a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, to remember loved ones lost, and to fight back against this devastating disease.

The Westminster Schools Atlanta Refugee Project Goes National with PODS!
It all started in Atlanta with Westminster High School’s refugee project from two years ago, where students, teachers, and parents came together to outfit apartments for incoming refugee families in nearby Clarkston, Georgia. Working with their non-profit partner, Refugee Resettlement and Immigration Services of Atlanta (RRISA), Westminster was able to set up twelve homes using donations of gentlyused furniture and household goods. Trinity Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, is gearing up for their 6th annual Trinity Serves day, where 400 members will engage in a variety of city outreach projects on Saturday, April 16th. They are excited, as one of these projects, in conjunction with PODS, will collect all the necessary household goods to completely furnish apartment homes for two refugee families to help them re-settle here in Atlanta. PODS Atlanta teams with Run the Reagan Road Race
PODS – Portable On Demand Storage, will donate several PODS® brand storage containers to support the Run the Reagan Road Race, held on Saturday, February 19, 2011.
Run the Reagan holds a half marathon, 10K, 5K, and Fun Run, where 3,500 racers are expected to participate. Proceeds from the event this year will help raise funds for two charitable organizations: Gwinnet Community Clinic, which offers some reprieve for families in Gwinnett County in need of medical services, and YoungLife, a faith-based organization which works with parents, schools, churches and community groups to tackle the social problems that teenagers face.
