Events that can damage your PODS container or your belongings usually occur without warning. Items kept in storage may have little or no coverage under home-owners' or renters' policies. And because PODS is not responsible for damage to your stored property, it's recommended you maintain and be able to show proof of insurance in case the unexpected occurs.

PODS offers two forms of coverage to ensure both your PODS container and belongings are protected in the unlikely event that damage does occur.

Contents Protection Program. With PODS Contents Protection Program, your contents and the container will be covered against specific risks by a policy obtained by PODS. Coverage will be in force whether the container is on your property, in our storage facility or in transit. This coverage meets the requirements of your PODS Rental Agreement.

Container Only Protection Program. The PODS Container Protection Option covers damages to the PODS container alone.
