PODS extends special discounts for Military Exchange Customers.

(Clearwater, Fla.) - The Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM), Army Air Force Exchange System (AAFES) and Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) have a multi-year contract with PODS Enterprises, Inc. to bring the company’s portable storage containers to CONUS military installations. Military exchange customers receive up to a 10 percent discount on the first month of rental as well as discounted local delivery fees. The alliance, first forged in 2006, has seen explosive nationwide growth as more military personnel enjoy the advantages and cost savings of moving with PODS.

“When the program began, PODS provided service to 15 military installations,” said George Spowart, PODS’ vice president of marketing. “We’ve found that our unique combination of moving and storage in one solution provides a unique level of flexibility and convenience to military personnel. Now PODS proudly serves over 100 U.S. military installations around the country including Hawaii.  We’re honored to offer discounts to the thousands of servicemen and women who so bravely serve our country.”

PODS® storage containers, which come in three sizes, are ideally suited to the needs of military personnel who are often transferred across the country. Military customers can fill the containers at their own pace and then store them, either on-site or at one of PODS’ secure Storage Centers, for a few days, weeks, months or years.

Military personnel interested in taking advantage of the PODS discounts can call the company’s toll-free number which was set up exclusively for military exchange customers, 866-667-5593, or visit PODS.com/militaryexchange.
